(26-12-23) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Foreign Affairs Committee of Somalia’s Upper House in the Federal Parliament on Monday convened a session with officials from the Ministry of Planning, Investment, and Economic Development. The gathering, led by Minister Mohamud Abdirahman Beenabeene, was aimed at ensuring governmental accountability.
During the extensive meeting, committee members rigorously interrogated the Minister regarding the execution and allocation of national projects, the functions of the National Statistics Agency, and the implementation of laws about investors and investments, among other critical topics.
Senator Maryan Farah Kahiye, Chairperson of the Upper House Foreign Affairs Committee and the session’s moderator extended her appreciation to the Ministry of Planning officials for their answers to the queries raised. Additionally, fellow committee members echoed this sentiment of gratitude.
