Their discussions revolved around cooperation aimed at bolstering the healthcare sectors of both nations. A significant focus was placed on the professional development of Somali healthcare personnel to elevate the proficiency and expertise of Somali medical practitioners.
Ambassador Khampa expressed a positive reception to the deliberations and committed to facilitating a partnership where Indian healthcare specialists will work in tandem with the Somali Ministry of Health. The collaboration is intended to enrich the clinical competencies of Somali doctors and healthcare staff. Notably, Somalia is among the nations whose citizens travel to India for medical treatment, seeking access to advanced healthcare services.
