(30-01-24) ROME (Halqabsi News) — The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, engaged in a bilateral meeting with the President of Comoros, HE Azali Assoumani, who is also the Chairperson of the African Union. The meeting took place in Rome, Italy, where both leaders attended the Italy-Africa Summit.
During their discussion, the two heads of state focused on regional matters, the advancement of mutual interests, and the reinforcement of collaborative efforts aimed at securing the future growth and prosperity of Africa.
The Italy-Africa Summit in Rome brought together over a dozen African leaders and Italian leaders to discuss key areas for collaboration, including food security, education, vocational training, energy, economic infrastructure development, and culture. The gathering also sought to improve investment in African countries as a strategy to curb irregular migration from the continent.
