(14-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Somalia’s specially trained Haram’ad police force conducted an operation in areas between Gendershe and Arba’ow districts, Lower Shabelle region. According to state-operated media, the operation’s objective was to destroy hideouts and a sham court operated by Al-Shabaab militants, which were utilised to exploit the local people.
The operation targeted the locales of Godka Kubash, Galka Geeriyaan, Galka Salimow, and Mara-Adde. Upon reaching these abandoned sites, the forces uncovered documents, including receipts used by the group to extort the people.
The Haram’ad forces were accompanied by units from the Somali National Army’s Omar Bin Khatab Brigade.
