(15-02-24) GALKAYO (Halqabsi News) — Ahmed Tahliil Haji Adan, a prominent businessman, was murdered in the city of Galkayo, the capital of Mudug state on Thursday. The incident occurred in the northern part of the city, within the premises of Jiiro Abdullahi Yusuf, where the victim conducted his business activities.
Eyewitness reports suggest that a group of armed assailants, whose identities remain unknown, executed the attack. The gunmen, reportedly travelling by car, executed the murder before fleeing the scene, leaving local authorities scrambling to respond.
No arrests have been made in connection with the brutal killing of Ahmed Tahleel. The local Puntland police force has launched a manhunt to track down the perpetrators behind this heinous act. The community has been left in shock, mourning the loss of a well-regarded figure known for his business acumen and contributions to the local economy.
