President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud led the forefront of these activities, marking his presence at the graduation of the 22nd batch of students from Somali National University and meeting with soldiers from the Danab special unit of the Somali National Army who showcased their prowess in a multinational military exercise in Kenya. President Mohamud also extended his warmest wishes to Somali women on World Women’s Day and congratulated the Somali people on the commencement of Ramadan, reflecting the government’s commitment to fostering a sense of unity and national pride.
In parallel, the Somali Parliament initiated discussions on Chapter 4 of the Provisional Federal Constitution, focusing on representation and elections, signalling a move towards reinforcing democratic governance. From inaugurating the new building of the Police Criminal Investigation Department equipped with modern technology to launch the construction of an important road that promises to enhance connectivity within the Banadir region, and from attending a diplomatic training session for newly approved ambassadors to overseeing the reconstruction of parts of the Ministry of Planning and Investment Promotion, Prime Minister Barre’s actions underscored a comprehensive approach to governance.

Public discussions on the country’s draft constitution commenced, a testament to Somalia’s efforts in shaping a more inclusive future.
