(16 April 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — In an official ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister and Acting Prime Minister of Somalia, Salah Jama, presided over the handover of responsibilities to the incoming Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, Mr. Ali Yussuf Ali Hosh. The outgoing Minister, Mr. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, was commended for notable accomplishments achieved during his tenure in office.
Emphasising the importance of federalism in Somali governance, Deputy Prime Minister Salah highlighted the upcoming elections and the public’s expectations to choose their leaders, noting that most of the crucial laws needed for conducting the election are in place.
