(25-06-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur Madobe, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Somalia, held a meeting with the newly appointed US Ambassador to Somalia, Ambassador Richard H. Riley.
Ambassador Riley expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received upon his arrival in Somalia and reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
During the meeting, Speaker Madobe briefed Ambassador Riley on the considerable gains made by the Somali government in various sectors, including security, economic development, and the ongoing fight against terrorism. Notably, discussions centred on the progress of constitutional reform, an important step in solidifying Somalia’s democratic institutions.
