(26-06-24) JOWHAR (Halqabsi News) – Joint SNA and local forces carried out an operation in Ali Adhole area, 33 km north of Eldheer, Galgaduud region overnight. According to senior SNA officer Lieutenant Mohamed Dhagaweyne, who leads the Khalid Bin Waleed Battalion, the operation resulted in the killing of seven Al-Shabaab militants and the seizure of weapons and other military supplies.
Lieutenant Dhagaweyne noted that the operation followed intelligence about militants mobilising in the area, prompting the targeted joint SNA and local forces operation.
Villages and forested areas near Eldheer have recently witnessed increased confrontations between SNA and Al-Shabaab.
