(18 Sep 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Somali National Army (SNA) Chief, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadin, today hosted a high-ranking delegation from the Italian military at SNA headquarters in Mogadishu. The delegation was led by Brigadier General Alessandro Grassano, Deputy Chief of Military Policy and Planning of the Italian Republic.
The two sides discussed strategic issues, including the efforts to rebuild SNA and enhance military cooperation between Somalia and Italy.
The SNA Chief was accompanied by senior officials, including Deputy Chief of Defense, General Madey Nurow Sheikh Ufurow; Commander of the SNA Ground Forces, Brigadier General Dayah Abdi Abdulle; Commander of the Somali Navy and Coast Guard, Admiral Abdi Warsame; and Commander of Training and Doctrine, Colonel Ahmed Ciise Ahmed.
The Italian delegation thanked the SNA leadership for the hospitality and productive discussions.
