(02 Nov 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Brigadier General Dayah Abdi Abdulle has relieved his SNA Ground Force Chief duties. He is succeeded by Colonel Khalid Abdullahi Omar, former head of the Jubaland Intelligence and Security Agency (JISA). No official reason has been given for the leadership change.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud appointed Brigadier General Abdulle in September 2023, when he was also promoted from Colonel to Brigadier General. President Mohamud has recently been reshuffling the leadership of the military and police, including the appointment of Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi as the new Police Commissioner.
