U.S. Army Maj accompanied Ambassador Riley. Gen. Brian Cashman, Commander of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, as well as senior US government officials and military officers, according to a statement from the Somaliland Presidential Office.
In a press release, President Muse Bihi expressed his appreciation to the US delegation for their continuous collaboration and partnership, particularly in advancing security in the Horn of Africa and strengthening military ties between Somaliland and the United States.
Foreign Affairs Minister Essa Kayd Mohamud, Interior Minister Mohamed Kahin Ahmed, and Major General Nuh Ismail Tani and Mustafa Mohamed Hassan Ba’alul, the heads of Somaliland’s military and intelligence forces, joined President Bihi at the meeting.
