(20/07/23) MOGADISHU – On Thursday, under the leadership of Prime Minister Hamze Abdi Bare, the Ministers Council convened its weekly meeting, which addressed critical topics concerning the country’s security, the eradication of terrorist groups in Somalia, and good governance. The Council received a briefing from the Ministry of Defense and Internal Security, covering the nation’s security, stability, and advancements in its liberation process.
The Council praised the National Army for making significant progress in liberating the country and defeating the terrorist organization Al Shabaab. Notably, the Somalia National Army’s victory over Al Shabaab was especially visible in areas where the group had a stronghold.
In addition to security concerns, the council was given an overview of the Performance and Service Delivery Management System, a strategic initiative aimed at improving government efficiency and contributing to the country’s economic progress.
