(31-08-23) MOGADISHU — President of Hirshabelle, Ali Gudlawe Hussein, on Thursday, gifted a donation of livestock to the National Army and the local liberation forces based in Daru-nimca village of Middle Shabelle region.The President, alongside Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin, Commander of the Defense Forces, conducted an inspection tour of the military units actively engaging in the offensive against Alshabaab militants.
In a public address attended by hundreds of army personnel and liberation fighters, President Guudlawe commended their courage and bravery, declaring that the government is fully committed to leading the war and boosting the morale of the troops.
“Your heroic deeds are the backbone of the stability and unity of this great nation,” President Guudlawe remarked. “We stand by you in defeating the forces that threaten our land and people.”
The livestock donation is seen as both symbolic and practical; livestock plays a crucial role in the economy and livelihood of Somalia, especially in the pastoral communities of the Middle Shabelle region. It serves as a critical resource for both sustenance and trade.
