(29-08-23) MOGADISHU — An elderly man, Abbas Osman Abshirow, was killed in a targeted attack in Afgooye district’s Fayuma neighbourhood, Lower Shabelle on Tuesday morning. Mr. Abshirow, who used to drive luxury taxis, was shot in the upper part of his body by assailants armed with pistols.
Security forces arrived promptly at the scene and initiated an investigation. The body has been taken to the C.I.D criminal investigation centre. The motive behind the attack remains unknown.
Authorities are urging the public to provide any information that may lead to the arrest of the individuals responsible for this crime.
