Mogadishu Mayor Returns Land to Italian Government

(12-09-23) MOGADISHU — Governor of the Banadir Regional Administration and Mogadishu Mayor, Yusuf Hussein Jimale, on Tuesday handed over the Casa Italia land to its rightful owners, the Italian Embassy in Mogadishu. The land, occupied by Somali citizens and serving as a hub for various businesses since the civil unrest, is being returned in recognition of the enduring partnership between the two nations.

Expressing his appreciation, the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Mr Alberto Vecchi, highlighted that this act reinforces the depth and growth of the longstanding relationship between Italy and Somalia.
