(21-11-23) MOGADISHU — The Capital Stabilisation Force on Monday night conducted significant operations at Eelasha Biyaha, the outskirts of Mogadishu. These operations, primarily focused in the water wells area, aimed to bolster security and stave off threats from the Al-Shabaab group.
The security forces, executing a meticulous strategy, carried out house-to-house searches in the neighbourhoods surrounding the water wells. These actions are part of a broader effort to preempt any security breaches potentially orchestrated by Al-Shabaab elements.
Additionally, the army has been conducting thorough investigations on vehicles travelling the highway connecting Afgooye and Mogadishu. This heightened surveillance is a response to recent activities by the capital’s security forces in various districts of Mogadishu and its suburbs, a proactive measure against terrorist threats.
These operations align closely with a strategy meeting held days ago by the Prime Minister, focusing on accelerating security measures in the capital. This meeting, which included key security agencies and the administration of the Banadir region, was convened at the capital’s stabilization forces camp, strategically positioned between Mogadishu and Balad.
