Somali Justice Minister meets with UK Ambassador to Somalia

(07/11/23) MOGADISHU – Somalia’s Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hassan Moallin Mohamud, held a meeting on Tuesday with the United Kingdom’s Ambassador to Somalia, Michael Nithavrianakis.

The Minister and the Ambassador engaged in a constructive dialogue on the United Kingdom’s unwavering support for the Somali government and its people, the important role that justice and the judiciary system play in ensuring national stability, and the establishment of judicial services in areas reclaimed from extremist Al-Shabaab’s control.

Minister Mohamud extended his appreciation for the United Kingdom’s resolute assistance, acknowledging the UK as a key contributor to the Somali government’s nation-building efforts.
