(18-01-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Commander of the Somali National Army, Ibrahim Sheikh Muhyadin led a high-level security delegation to the town of Wargaadhi in the Middle Shabelle region as the army enters a crucial phase in its war against Al-Shabaab.
The commander’s delegation included ATMIS Force Commander Lt Gen Sam Okiding, MP Abdirahman Mohamed Sheikh, and a host of military officers from the Somali National Army.
Their visit to Wargaadhi is to strengthen ongoing operations against terrorist militias and to coordinate frontline operations of the country’s army that continue to inflict heavy losses to Al-Shabaab hideouts.
