(05-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Federal Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, Ahmed Moallin Fiqi, attended a meeting on Sunday focused on the collaboration between security agencies and the Security Plan for the Banadir Region. The Governor of Banadir and Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale), briefed the Parliamentary Committee on Internal Affairs, Regional Administrations, and Security, which also attended the meeting.
The session was co-chaired by the Committee’s Deputy Chairman, MP Nur Ahmed Diiriye (Nur Afey), along with the Committee Secretary, MP Mohamed Ibrahim Hassan (Diyeeshe).
Governor Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale) briefed the committee on the security situation of the capital, tackling challenges related to gang groups and illegal drugs. The Committee praised the Governor for his dedicated service to the residents of the capital
To wrap up the meeting, the Committee Chairman expressed gratitude to both the Governor and the Minister, underscoring the significance of collaboration, mutual accountability, and continuous oversight by the Committee.
