Puntland Police Detain Suspect in Galkacyo Murder Case

(12-02-24) GALKAYO (Halqabsi News) — Puntland Police Force has detained a suspect implicated in a murder in Galkacyo on Sunday evening, according to a statement from the Mudug Regional Police Command. The police arrested Liban Omar Ahmed, accused of the fatal stabbing of Mohamed Abdullahi Guled. The suspect, 22, allegedly used a knife to kill the 29-year-old victim, as explained in the police announcement.

The Mudug Regional Police Command’s report further noted, “We have managed to secure the arrest of Liban Omar Ahmed, a 22-year-old, son of Sadia Mohamed Ali, on charges of fatally stabbing Mohamed Abdullahi Guled, a 29-year-old, son of Amina, in Galkacyo last night. May the deceased rest in paradise.”
