(19-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — Somalia’s security forces in the Galgaduud region killed four Al-Shabaab militants who were part of a small group attempting a hit-and-run attack in the El Dheer district. Armed with prior intelligence, the SNA forces, along with local units, successfully repelled the ambush in the Haanta Agadheere area.
The operation involved SNA’s Khalid Bin Walid units and local forces. Senior Army Commander Mohamed Dhagaweyne informed the press that the attackers were repelled, and the remaining militants are being pursued. The El Dheer area has recently experienced increased clashes between the SNA and Al-Shabaab militants.
