(05-02-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) — The Speaker of the House of the People, Adan Mohamed Nur (Madoobe), presided over a key parliamentary meeting on Monday, focusing on key national issues, which included the ongoing constitutional review process. The meeting saw the presence of the First Deputy Speaker, Sadia Yasin Haji Samatar, the Second Deputy Speaker, Mr Abdullahi Omar Abshirow, and 155 Members of Parliament.
The Members of Parliament called for any governmental agreements and national political treaties to be presented to Parliament for thorough review and ratification.
At the end of the session, Speaker Madobe underscored the commendable accomplishments of the 11th Parliament during its tenure. He announced a scheduled early session for Wednesday, intended to wrap up the discussions on political affairs and other national matters.
