President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud laid wreath flowers at the SYL Monument in Mogadishu in commemoration of Somali Youth Day on 15 May, honouring the youth of SYL who fought for independence.
Governor of Banadir Region and Mayor of Mogadishu, Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madale), participated in the flower-laying ceremony, marking the founding day of the SYL organisation which played a key role in the nation’s independence struggle.
The event was attended by the ministers of interior and youth, the Police Chief, the Deputy Governor of Security & Politics of Banadir Region, members of parliament, and other officials.
