Somalia’s Auditor General, Ahmed Isse Gutale, has signed a bilateral agreement with the National Audit Office of Sweden, a key partner in the international audit community. Set to span five years, this agreement is designed to enhance collaboration between the two offices. It will facilitate the sharing of expertise and promote the development and refinement of performance audits, as stipulated by the Somali Audit Law.
In accordance with Law No. 14 of 2023, the Somali Office of the Auditor General has launched a new performance audit department. Mr Gutale appreciated the World Bank and other international partners for their key contributions to establishing this important department.
