(19-06-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Former Banadir Regional Administration Governor Hassan Mohamed Hussein Mungab has called on the Somali people to rally their government behind the war against Al-Shabaab. Mungab was speaking at a traditional gathering in Eelow area near Warsheikh district, Middle Shabelle region. He underscored the importance of the Somali people’s full support for the anticipated federal government-spearheaded military operations set to begin in the country soon.
“The country is in a war aimed at liberating it from terrorists, and the people should be ready to stand by their government in this struggle,” he noted. He expressed optimism about the war against the militant group, hoping that the government and the Somali people will have the upper hand in the future.
