(24-07-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – On Monday, the head of Al-Shabaab’s finance for the Mudug region, Mr Abbas Al Amin Hussein, voluntarily surrendered to police in Hobyo district, Mudug region. He handed himself over to Hobyo Police Commander Mohamed Ad’ed, accompanied by other officers.
His surrender followed contact with security officials regarding his intention to renounce violence and abandon his involvement in extortion and intimidation. He left Jawle area in Mudug to undertake this step towards ceasing his activities and discontinuing the terrorising of locals.
Mr.Hussein was presented to the media in Hobyo. The event was attended by the Deputy District Commissioner of Hobyo, Muqtar Sheikh, among other area officials
