(13 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – A coordinated ambush by joint Somali National Army (SNA) and local community forces targeted an Al-Shabaab convoy, killing ten militants and confiscating weapons and vehicles near Gal’ad district, Galgaduud region.
According to SNA commanders speaking with state media, the joint forces seized a water tanker, a Land Cruiser vehicle, and light rifles carried by the slain militants. The operation is part of an ongoing offensive against Al-Shabaab in areas of the Galgaduud region, including Gal’ad.
