(12 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – An anti-Al-Shabaab event was held on Monday in Mogadishu, organised by the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports in collaboration with the Tubsan National Centre for Preventing & Countering Violent Extremism.
The event, which coincided with International Youth Day, attracted youth groups, music bands, and various dignitaries. The theme, “Murderers, leave the name ‘Youth’ to us,” resonated strongly as attendees united against the militant group.
The event highlighted the many atrocities committed by Al-Shabaab against Somali youth, including the recent Lido Beach attack earlier this month, which claimed dozens of young lives and left many others injured.
