(29 Aug 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – A group of Somali medical professionals based in Europe and America have announced plans to build a new general hospital in Puntland. The project, called “Healthcare-Focused Referral Hospital in Puntland (HFRHP)”, aims to improve the diagnosis and treatment of diseases in the region and reduce the need for people to seek healthcare abroad.
The team behind the project, which includes doctors, professors, and other medical experts, has already completed a three-year scientific study to assess the healthcare needs of Puntland and design the new hospital. They have also met with the President of Puntland and other government officials to discuss the project.
The new hospital will be a modern facility with state-of-the-art equipment and will offer a wide range of medical services. It will also cooperate with hospitals and universities in Sweden and other countries.
The project team is calling on the Puntland community to unite and support the project so that it can be implemented as soon as possible. They believe that the new hospital will bring a real change to healthcare in Puntland and help prevent people from seeking treatment abroad.
