(08 Sep 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Chief of the Somali National Army, Major General Ibrahim Sheikh Muhuddin, arrived in Middle Shabelle region on Saturday to intensify the fight against terrorism. Accompanied by the Commander of the US joint special operations in East Africa, Colonel David Haskell, the SNA Chief met with SNA and US military officials to coordinate the next phase of the offensive against Al-Shabaab.
General Muhuddin called for escalated military operations, stressing the importance of collaborating with local communities. The accompanying US military officials reaffirmed their support for the operations and reiterated their commitment to combating terrorism in Somalia.
