(22 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Somali National Army (SNA) has successfully neutralised 10 Al-Shabaab militants in a recent operation conducted in the Bood and Budbud villages of Galgaduud region.
According to local officials, the security forces engaged the insurgents in a fierce encounter, resulting in the deaths of the 10 militants. No casualties were reported among the SNA troops.
Ali Ahmed district Governor Ahmed Abdulle Adan praised the courage and determination of the SNA soldiers, highlighting their unwavering commitment to combating the Al-Shabaab insurgency. He emphasized that the operation was part of a broader effort to root out the extremist group from the region.
Governor Adan also appealed to the local community to actively support the SNA in its fight against terrorism. He urged residents to provide any intelligence or information that could help the security forces locate and neutralise remaining Al-Shabaab fighters.
