(21 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Mogadishu Mayor and Governor of Banadir, Yusuf Hussein Jimale ‘Maddale, has urged Mogadishu district leaders to accelerate the implementation of key public service projects across the city. Chairing a meeting to expedite the Banadir Regional Administration’s work plan, the Mayor highlighted the importance of speeding up security and development initiatives.
The meeting brought together district governors, who provided updates on ongoing security measures and development efforts in their respective areas. In addition, key officials from the taxation and sanitation departments presented reports detailing their progress and challenges.
Mayor Jimale emphasized the need for district leaders to strengthen their relationships with local communities and security agencies to enhance the efficiency of public service delivery. “Building closer ties with the community is crucial for speeding up these critical services,” he said. He also stressed the importance of ensuring a coordinated approach between all departments to address urgent needs such as sanitation and public safety.
