(06 Oct 2024) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) – Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni travelled to Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Sunday, following an invitation from the UAE government. President Deni had been in Bossaso, the capital of Puntland’s Bari region, for a work-related visit over the past few days. He departed from Bossaso Airport on Sunday evening.
Sources close to the Puntland Presidency revealed that the trip was only communicated a few hours before the President’s departure, after receiving the urgent invitation. No further details have been provided regarding the purpose of the visit or the nature of the UAE government’s invitation, with whom President Deni maintains a close relationship.
