(06 Oct 2024) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – Somalia’s Police Chief, Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi, met US Embassy Counterterrorism Advisor Robert Flannery on Saturday in Mogadishu. The meeting discussed ways to enhance collaboration between the two nations, especially in the area of counter-terrorism efforts. They also explored venues to help enhance the Somali Police Force’s capabilities.
Both officials agreed to strengthen cooperation and hold further discussions on these areas. The new police chief has been holding introductory meetings with federal government leaders and representatives from Somalia’s international partners based in Mogadishu to foster stronger partnerships.
