(26/07/23) MOGADISHU -Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre condemned Monday’s terrorist attack on a military training academy in Mogadishu in a speech to the Somali Diaspora in Tanzania. Several soldiers were killed in the attack, and many more were injured.
Prime Minister Hamza called the attack a “cowardly act” and extended his deepest condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers. He also wished those injured a speedy recovery.
The Prime Minister also spoke to the Somali Diaspora about their contributions to the reconstruction of their homeland. He expressed optimism about his government’s self-reliant efforts in combating terrorism and alleviating the drought crisis.
Prime Minister Hamza concluded his address by appealing to all Somalis in the diaspora to redouble their efforts in rebuilding their nation and enhancing the quality of the Somali national armed forces.
