(26/07/23) MOGADISHU –Ministers of Animal Husbandry from the Horn of Africa and the Ambassador of the Swiss Government came together in Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in a project launch ceremony aimed at improving the livestock sector in the region. The initiative, which will benefit Somalia, Ethiopia, and Kenya, seeks to foster collaboration among these countries and strengthen their livestock sectors.
The project launch marks a significant step towards supporting pastoralists in the region. By pooling resources and knowledge, the program aims to uplift the livelihoods of pastoral communities and boost overall livestock production in the participating nations.
This joint effort reflects a commitment to enhancing agricultural practices and promoting sustainable development in the Horn of Africa. With the support of the International Organisations funding, the project sets out to create positive impacts and bring about increased prosperity for the livestock industry in the region.
