(29/07/23) MOGADISHU – The President of Puntland State of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Deni, and the British Ambassador to Somalia, Mike Nithavrianakis, convened in Garowe this Saturday to deliberate on Somalia’s security and political trajectories.
The two leaders underscored the necessity of robust collaboration between Somalia and the United Kingdom in tackling security dilemmas and nurturing political stability. They explored pragmatic strategies for confronting extremism and safeguarding the well-being and security of citizens across Puntland State and Somalia at large.
The situation in Las Anod, the administrative capital of the Sool region, featured prominently in their dialogue. President Deni and Ambassador Nithavrianakis expressed their united dedication to discovering enduring solutions that foster peace and reconciliation within the area.
