Amid ongoing military operations against al-Shabaab in Galmudug and Hirshabelle states, the minister hailed the armed forces for sacrifices he described as “soul, money, and mind,” stating unequivocally that “there is nothing more valuable.”
Nur did not mince words in his criticism of detractors and those he believes undermine national efforts. “It’s rare to see people build the morale of terrorists while attempting to tarnish our heroes,” he said. The Ministry of Defence punctuated this sentiment with a terse but impactful tweet: “Unwavering in eradicating Khawarij for Somalia’s safety. Detractors, your dishonour is your undoing.”
