Deputy Director of National Theatre passes away in Nairobi

(07/11/23) MOGADISHU — The Deputy Manager of Somalia’s National Theatre and Public Awareness Council, Mohamed Hassan Barrow, has passed away after a period of illness in Nairobi, Kenya’s capital city.

Minister of Information, Culture, and Tourism, Da’ud Aweys Jama, his deputy, Abdirahman Yussuf Al-Addala, and the ministry’s staff, have expressed their profound sorrow and condolences to the bereaved family, relatives, and the entire Somali nation mourning the demise of Barrow. The late Barrow was esteemed as an integral member of Somalia’s renowned national band, Waaberi.
