Puntland Parliament Announces a new Committee for the Speaker Election.

(02-01-24) GAROWE (Halqabsi News) — The interim Speaker of the newly formed Puntland Parliament, Hassan Abdalla Hassan, announced this morning the formation of a Committee for the upcoming election of the Parliament’s Speaker

In a statement, the Acting Speaker of the newly convened Parliament appointed the Election Committee, which comprises seven members who are mandated to oversee the election process for the Speaker of the House.

MP Abdiweli Yusuf Warsame was appointed as chairman of this election committee. Other members include MP Ahmed Abdirahman Jama, MP Abdirahman Ahmed Adan, MP Qalib Hassan Mohamud, MP Abdirazak Omar Ismail, MP Nasib Muse Ali, and MP Abdimahad Ali Liban.
