22-01-24) KISMAYO (Halqabsi News) — A collaborative military operation between the Somali National Army and an international partner was carried out in the Lower Juba region of Jubaland State today, resulting in the neutralisation of several Al-Shabaab militants.
The operation, conducted by the Somali National Army with aerial support from the United States military, was carried out approximately 45 kilometres northeast of Kismayo, the interim administrative capital of Jubaland.
The operation led to the neutralisation of up to four Al-Shabaab militants involved in a mobilisation activity. Importantly, the operation was executed without causing any civilian casualties.
The Somali government, bolstered by the solidarity and support of its citizens and international allies, remains steadfast in its commitment to the eradication of extremist groups that threaten the peace and stability of the country.
