The leaders of South West, Galmudug, and Jubaland were received at Aden Adde International Airport on Monday by senior federal government officials. Abdiaziz Laftagareen of South West State, Ahmed Madobe of Jubaland, and Ahmed Abdi Kariye ‘Qoorqoor’ of Galmudug are expected to join top federal government leaders and the Banadir Regional Administration Governor in an upcoming National Consultative Council meeting expected in the capital in the coming days.
The NCC was recently postponed indefinitely due to technical reasons and is expected to deliberate on key issues affecting the nation, mainly regional administration elections and recent constitutional amendments undertaken by the federal government as well as the resumption of the war against Al-Shabaab.
