(04-06-24) MOGADISHU (Halqabsi News) – The Federal Government of Somalia’s Council of Ministers convened for their weekly meeting today, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Salah Ahmed Jama. During the session, the council approved a revised National Identification and Registration Bill and a Memorandum of Understanding on Policy Cooperation between Somalia and Norway.
The Ministers of Internal Security and Defence presented reports on the country’s security situation, outlining the progress of ongoing operations against extremist groups and efforts to stabilize security nationwide.
Additionally, the council received briefings from the Ministers of Health and Social Care, Communications and Technology, Finance, Transport and Civil Aviation, and Agriculture and Irrigation, who detailed the outcomes of their recent working trips abroad.
